Rachel Barton & Alasdair Fraser
Violin meets the fiddle. Alasdair's (and the cellist is presumably
Natalie Haas) were at last summer's Chicago Celtic Fest and sounded
great. The promo material:
"Rachel Barton will be making a special appearance with Scottish
fiddler Alasdair Fraser at Chief O'Neill's Pub in Chicago, this Sunday
night at 8:00PM (NO COVER). They will be alternating between Rachel
playing some of the works she will be recording with the Scottish
Chamber Orchestra (romantic concertos based on Scottish folk tunes)
with piano accompaniment, and playing some 18th century Scottish tunes
with cello accompaniment, Alasdair playing solo or with backup, and some
duets.
"Rachel and Alasdair may even throw in a couple of their favorite
classical Irish pieces."

Niamh is just about the best English-language Irish singer there is.

such stature that people will typically say he needs no introduction.
Niamh appears to have top billing.
